Its great to see NSW continuing with planning for the Nationals. After last years cancellation we are all really keen to get together again for our National championships. However with most of the east coast of Australia currently in various stages of Covid lockdown we have to recognise there is a lot of uncertainty about the event being able to proceed. At this stage, however, it’s just too early to make a call either way. So in recognition of this so called “new normal” the National Committee has adopted a watch and see approach and will make a call closer to the event as, hopefully, the current outbreak is better contained and restrictions ease to the point where we can all travel safely to Sydney. In the meantime if you are considering competing make sure your plans are flexible and any bookings you make refundable. With some luck, good management and a lot of vaccinations I’m hoping we can all get together for a great Nationals in Woollahra in January – see you all there!
